Sunday Afternoon Streetwalker Charged

with Drunk and Disorderly

Woman's background filled with burned house and dead husband

LUSBY (Nov. 16, 2009) --- Police report that Lisa Marie Tippett was back on the prowl on Sunday, armed with a beer and a butt.

Police say that on November 15 at 1:10 p.m. Calvert DFC Aaron Locke received a call for a possible intoxicated female in the roadway on Tomahawk Trail West in Lusby.

Upon his arrival he observed a female standing in the middle of the intersection of Gunsmoke Trail and Tomahawk Trail. She was attempting to stop cars as they passed. She was holding a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other. She was contacted and instructed to get rid of the beer and return to her home which was located less than 150 yards away.

Another call was dispatched for a female in the roadway but she was not located. A third call came in with the same description of a female staggering in the parking lot of the Lusby Town Square shopping center. Locke arrested Lisa Marie Tippett, 44 of Lusby and charged her with disorderly intoxication.

Tippett was a person of interest in the death of her husband and charged with the arson of the couple’s home in Lexington Park. No charges were placed against her for murder after Mark Tippett’s body was discovered after police finally did an exhaustive search.
