A prayer away from death

ACCIDENTAL INJURY: On Aug. 7 at 9:14 p.m., Charles County Sheriff’s officers responded to a residence in the 16000 block of Woodville Road in Waldorf for the report a man who had been struck by lightening. The investigation revealed a 32-year-old man was outside during a thunderstorm. While holding an umbrella in one hand, the man was attempting to attach a trailer to his truck when lightening struck him. When Emergency Medical Service personnel arrived on the scene, the man had no pulse and was not breathing but they revived him. He was transported by ambulance to Southern Maryland Hospital Center where he was said to be in critical condition. No one else was injured. Officer G.
