Baby dies after bouncy seat bounced off
washing machine
On August 9th at
approximately 3:30 p.m., St. Mary’s County
Sheriffs Deputies, and EMS personnel
responded to an injured infant in Great
Mills. The three month old infant, Violette
Noell Sheluga, was reportedly sitting in a
bouncy seat on a washing machine with it
running, while her mother folded laundry and
fell off, causing head trauma. She was
transported to St. Mary’s hospital and then
flown to Children’s Hospital where she later
died from her injury. BCI detectives are
continuing their investigation into the
incident
